REGISTRATION INFORMATION
HOURS
All classes meet from 9:30 AM–5:00 PM. On the first day of your workshop, please arrive at 9:00 AM to complete registration materials. Hours for class meetings, studio time, and critiques vary for each class. Evening hours may be used for critiques and extra studio time. All workshops end at 5:00 PM on Friday.
NOT-FOR-CREDIT REGISTRATION
Tuition for each workshop is listed on the REGISTRATION FORM. Not–for–credit students register directly through Visual Studies Workshop. Payment must be made in full when registering. Once registration is received and processed by VSW, a confirmation letter will be sent.
The REGISTRATION FORM may be filled out and mailed directly to VSW. Mail registration must include full tuition for each workshop and will be processed in order of receipt. Be sure to provide all of the information requested on the registration form.
You can register by phone at (585) 442–8676 x22 if you are using a VISA, MasterCard or American Express for tuition payment. Phone registration hours are Monday through Friday 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. You may fax the registration form below to (585) 442–1992. Credit card payment must be included.
If a your check/charge does not clear for payment, an additional fee of $35 will be charged. VSW does not guarantee enrollment until payment is resubmitted.
FOR-CREDIT REGISTRATION
All 5-day classes are available for three undergraduate credits or two graduate credits through The College at Brockport. Tuition and fees for in–state and out–of–state residents can be found here. Registration information is online at http://www.brockport.edu/ssp/summer/. Any for–credit registrations received at VSW will be returned. If you register for college credit, transcripts are available after September 1 from The College at Brockport by contacting the Office of Registration and Records at (585) 395–2531.
ENROLLMENT
Enrollment in workshops is limited to 8–10 students so early registration is encouraged. Individual registrations should be received no later than two weeks prior to the beginning of each workshop you plan to attend. Timely registration helps in two ways: to avoid possible class cancellations due to insufficient enrollment and to save your place in classes that fill up quickly.
EDUCATION POLICY
Students are responsible for their workshop choices. We recommend that you select your courses carefully. Workshop staff are available for advisement by phone at (585) 442–8676 x22 or by email at workshops@vsw.org.
CANCELLATIONS
Workshops are subject to cancellation due to under–enrollment. A full credit or refund will be issued to students registered for canceled workshops.
ABSENCES
Because of the intensive nature of the workshops it is not possible for participants to make–up missed days by attending on another day. There are no refunds for missed classes.
REFUNDS
Refunds (of not–for–credit enrollment) will be granted on the following basis: requests made up to two weeks prior to the first day of your workshop will receive a 100% refund less a $50 withdrawal fee; requests made up to five business days prior to the start of your workshop will receive a 50% refund less a $50 withdrawal fee. No refunds/credits are offered after that time. If you have registered for credit, consult www.brockport.edu for refund information/schedules.
PREPARATIONS
If an instructor indicates supplies or suggested readings, this information will be sent to you along with your registration receipt. In general, instructors suggest that the participants bring samples of past work.
