Spring 2010 Evening and Weekend Workshops
Digital Photo Editing
Jaimee S. Lindvay
Tuesdays: March 23 through April 27
6:00pm-8:30pm
$175
Want to learn how to edit your photos but don't want to buy a $600 photo editing program. This is the class for you. GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) is your open source solution. GIMP is just as powerful as the other guys and it's free.
In this six day workshop students will learn how to acquire images (from a scanner, camera, or other digital files) and the basic tools for correcting and editing those images. Later in the course students will learn a few advanced tools like layer masking and how to stitch photos together. Concluding with a short lesson on color management
and digital printing. No prior knowledge of photo editing is required.
