Wood is one of the per-eminent artists and educators of our time. "Straight" photographs, cliché verre, solarization, toning, collage, applied color with wax crayons he has made himself, offset lithography and other printmaking processes; the variety of tools that Wood has an facility for working with is endless. The ease with which he moves between media and the freedom of his mark making belies the years of dedication to his craft. Wood's images, while technically and aesthetically complex, refer to many social, environmental and political issues.
