About this objectPhotographer using a brush to retouch paper negatives that are adhered to the side of a large format camera. The red paint used in the retouching is smeared on the upper right corner of the camera. This photograph was taken as part of a project undertaken by Parker and her husband Avon Neal about itinerant photographers of Guatemala throughout the 1970s. Images from these trips were published in 1984’s Los Ambulantes: The Itinerant Photographers of Guatemala.
