About this objectThree brothers stand in a row behind their wives and children. Behind them is a backdrop with flower patterns, a bird, and a curtain with the text: “Recuerdo.” One of the children sits on a wooden horse. This photograph was taken as part of a project undertaken by Parker and her husband Avon Neal about itinerant photographers of Guatemala throughout the 1970s. Images from these trips were published in 1984’s Los Ambulantes: The Itinerant Photographers of Guatemala.
