Subject and Association DescriptionHollis Frampton was an avant-garde artist who worked in many mediums including film and photography as well as a prolific writer and theoretician. Near the end of his life, he lived in upstate New York and taught at SUNY Buffalo. ADSVMVS ABSVMVS was Frampton’s last major photographic portfolio, and was exhibited in New York in 2015.
