Subject and Association DescriptionSonia Landry Sheridan is a visual artist, educator, and theorist. Through her work and pedagogy, Sheridan has explored the intersections between art, science, and technology. She is a pioneer of xerographic art, and founded the Generative Systems program at the Art Institute of Chicago. Sheridan has been the editor of Leonardo, a journal examining the application of science and technology in the arts. Her work has been exhibited and collected throughout the world. She has been a Guggenheim Fellow and is a three time National Endowment For the Arts grantee.
