• Broadway puppeteer Leah Hofmann (Warhorse, Something Rotten!, Big Fish) will be teaching a puppetry movement workshop in partnership with Rochester Dance Theatre Director, Erika Ruegemer. The workshop will be featuring the 13’ live action puppet from upcoming fantasy feature film, The Molok. Participants will have the opportunity to work directly with Leah on puppetry theory, techniques, improvisation and ensemble performance. All participants will receive a certificate of completion, as well as 4K footage of their work. Top performing students will have the opportunity to participate in a live showcase performance* on Sunday evening and will be considered for casting in the film!

    There will be four sessions available:

    Saturday, February 2nd, 9:30-1:00pm & 2:00-5:30pm

    Sunday, February 3rd, 9:00-12:30pm & 1:30-5:00pm

    The Showcase Performance and Reception will be Sunday, February 3rd, 6:30-9:30pm.**

    Cost: $$33.67 – $44.31/ participant*

    Tickets must be purchased before February 2nd
    What to bring: Dance or movement clothes and sneakers, notebook, pen, towel and water.

    Requirements: previous athletic, movement or puppetry experience. This is a very physical workshop, therefore, participants will be required to sign a waiver.
