Project Space Residency
Meredith Davenport lives in Lima, New York and teaches at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Her current project Membering is a collection of layered narratives using images and words from found documents related to her family story that begins with a slave ship and ends with the death of her father in Louisiana. The work is a form of accounting of a history that is not uncommon but is at times unbearable.
