This year we’re thrilled to have two VSW alumni return to teach free workshops during Pub Fair:

1:30 Bind A Book with Megan Sullivan

Participants will learn to bind a multiple signature, vinyl covered book using the long stitch binding method with a chain stitch variation. Recommended for ages 12 to infinity.

Megan Sullivan is an Arts Enrichment Instructor in the Rochester City School District and a bookbinding instructor at Flower City Arts Center.

3:30 Make and Take A Zine with Megan Charland

Participants will learn about zine culture and make an 8 page, single-sheet zine using collage, Sharpie, markers, typewriter, or any combination they like. Once a “master” is created, photocopies will be made to edition the zine. All ages.

Megan Charland is is a photographer and book artist happily living in the Neighborhood of the Arts in Rochester, NY with her two kitties Ryley and Chloe.
