  • India Johnson: Thread Library/Thread Lecture
    Thread Library is a collection of donated thread with a card catalog; each thread is cataloged as if it is a book.
    Thread Lecture is a half-hour illustrated lecture about thread and information from prehistory to the computer age. This event is a collaboration between Thread Library’s director, outreach librarian, curator, cataloger, and head of digitization; informal tours of the collection are available after the lecture.
    We encourage you to bring a thread with you to the event if you wish to make a donation to the collections.

  • Maya Ciarrocchi: Artist Talk

    Maya Ciarrocchi is an interdisciplinary artist working across media in drawing, printmaking, video, and performance. Her previous career as a dancer/choreographer and theatrical designer informs her multi-disciplinary studio practice, allowing her to work across scale, technique, and palette. Ciarrocchi’s projects center on the excavation of vanished histories, themes rooted in Queerness, and the experience of her Ashkenazi ancestry. She will present an artist talk on her practice and current projects.
