Exhibitions Cecily Culver
January 8-February 2, 2020
For her residency, Cecily Culver would like to create a small book or set of zines that would combine prose, photographs of sculptural work, and selections from VSW’s archive, particularly from the collection of vernacular photography. Culver works in three-dimensional space with sculptural works that incorporate moving elements and moving images. She would like to explore how a book could work in tandem with a sculptural work, as well as exist independently, to more fully explore an idea. She is also curious to see what could emerge from experimenting with moving images from the archive in combination with physical objects and three-dimensional space.
Open studio event February 7, 6-8pm
