Ephemeral Record

While in the Project Space, Teresa Foley is working on her first artist’s book, Ephemeral Record, which will document the way she uses Instagram to advance how she makes (and thinks about) drawing, embroidery and collage. The book will consist of images from her account rearranged in sequences and groupings that reflect the evolution of her artistic process as affected by her use of this photo-sharing app/platform.

T. Foley makes videos, works on paper/fabric, and socially-engaged art works. She holds a BA in Literature and studied fine and electronic arts independently. She’s been awarded residencies by Atlantic Center for the Arts, The Banff Centre, and fellowships from The PA Council on the Arts and The Pittsburgh Foundation.
