Exhibitions Finding Balance by Joe Ziolkowski

Eldercare for parents dealing with cancer, strokes, heart ailments and Parkinson Disease were at the forefront of Joe Ziolkowski’s life for over 10 years. As an aftermath, he has traveled the world alone, photographing. There is an ongoing relationship with the various portfolios created on different formats that give viewers a different perspective. In his residency, Ziolkowski will be investigating multiple formats including photography, video, and sound and working to exhibit them in parallel to convey a complex message.
Joe Ziolkowski has been widely exhibited and has published two monographs, Walking the Line & Pressure. He has an MSED from Nazareth College and an MFA from School of the Art Institute in Chicago. Ziolkowski is Associate Professor of Photography and Art, SUNY GCC and SUNY COIL, Projects & Operations Coordinator, Global Affairs Office, Albany, NY. He is the recipient of a SUNY Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in 2017-18 for Scholarship and Creative Activities.
