Keliy Anderson-Staley lives and works in Houston, Texas. “My process is adaptive and cumulative, often autobiographical, with new experiences and sources being drawn into the work. I use a range of photographic processes, including scanners, contact printing, film, cyanotype, and wet-plate collodion, to raise questions about the reliability of photography as a tool for conveying family histories.”
World Economic Development, Folder Bound #1. Artist’s book, made by cyanotyping collaged negatives of my photographs and grandfather’s textbooks directly onto my father’s archive, including his notebooks, letters and drawings. Bound with grommets and linen string. 15 x 10 inches, closed. 2021. Unique.
