Exhibitions Temporary Ground by Shoshannah White
October 9 – November 4, 2017 Project Space
TEMPORARY GROUND contrasts color photographs of a continually changing Polar landscape with black and white photograms rendering abstract forms found within melting glacier-ice. White is at the beginning stages of conceptualizing a book project with this work. Time in the Project Space will be used to edit images and develop a book design.
Shoshannah White was born in New York, grew up in Florida and is currently based in Portland, Maine. Her practice includes photography, sculpture and public-art installation. She has been a visiting artist and has completed several residencies. She exhibits her work regularly, which is included in public and private collections.
