Cyanotype Film Loops – handmade film workshop and showcase

Sat & Sun, July 11 & 12 (12-4pm)

Experiment with making cyanotype motion picture film! In this two day workshop you will learn to create cyanotype contact prints directly on 16mm film without a camera, using the sun to make photograms with objects and patterns of your choice. The result will be a unique visual experience to be seen at 24 frames per second. Film loops will be produced and projected by the end of the class weekend. Handmade film or darkroom experience is nice, but not necessary. Loops produced in the class can be shown at VSW’s LOCALS showcase on Friday July 17 in the VSW Theater.
