Publications Pub Fair
The Pub Fair at VSW brings together book artists, photographers, independent publishers, and DIYers to exhibit their work in a unique market showcasing the gamut of what publishing can be. Artist’s books, photobookworks, magazines, zines, digital publishing as well as resources for all of these are available to peruse and purchase.
The fifth annual Pub Fair was Saturday, October 14th, from noon til 5.
There will be beer from Swiftwater Brewing, Ugly Duck Coffee in the fair, and Meat The Press food truck on the lawn.

Workshops At The Fair
This year we’re thrilled to have two VSW alumni return to teach free workshops during Pub Fair:
1:30 Bind A Book with Megan Sullivan
Participants will learn to bind a multiple signature, vinyl covered book using the long stitch binding method with a chain stitch variation. Recommended for ages 12 to infinity.
Megan Sullivan is an Arts Enrichment Instructor in the Rochester City School District and a bookbinding instructor at Flower City Arts Center.
3:30 Make and Take A Zine with Megan Charland
Participants will learn about zine culture and make an 8 page, single-sheet zine using collage, Sharpie, markers, typewriter, or any combination they like. Once a “master” is created, photocopies will be made to edition the zine. All ages.
