Spirit of the Archive is VSW’s annual holiday festivity, a solstice celebration of our archival collections. This year we invite you into the core of our new home at King Street, the Research Center, for a multimedia projection event activating the archival space itself. This unique event features restless items from our lantern slide, 16mm film, and open reel video collections, curated by VSW Collections Manager Mary Lewandowski, who poses the question: Is the archive a place or is it the items within a place?

Also: Make an archival craft! Stop into our Print Lab to have a cookie and craft a cute holiday collage card using reproductions from our Periodical Collection. Come and share some cheer with our extraordinary community of objects and people!

VSW program funders include The New York State Council on the Arts with support from the New York State Legislature, The Joy of Giving Something Foundation, and Monroe County, NY.
